Southern Green carries out landscape appraisals and Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment (LVIA) work, for both EIA and non-EIA projects. In the past two years we have carried out over thirty studies of this kind. We offer a flexible service, with every quotation individually tailored to the needs of the client and appropriate to the demands and timescales of the project.
Our project portfolio includes numerous appraisals and assessments in relation to proposed housing schemes on behalf of developers and planning consultancies. We have prepared landscape appraisals for planning appeals and our landscape architects have given evidence as expert witnesses in relation to housing applications.
We are also experienced in the preparation of LVIAs for industrial installations and premises and have carried out several LVIAs for proposed wind farms and single turbine installations. Our work extends from the north-east to the south-west regions of England, and from the Borders of Scotland across to Strathclyde.
Along with site survey and photographic work, we can provide in-house graphics services including the preparation of Zones of Theoretical Visibility (ZTV) plans, landscape character and designations plans and photomontages showing before and after visualizations of developments. We are often asked by clients to use landscape and visual assessment to inform mitigation proposals and landscape masterplans.
