OUSEBURN PARKS PHASE (A) LANDSCAPES WORKS BEGIN - Winter 2009:

Following the initial package of tree works in 2009, phase 1 of the landscape contract will begin in February 2010 with a second round of tree management work in February and March. In March Pets’ Corner will be demolished to make way for an all new Pets’ Corner with new animal pens, accessible footpaths, viewing areas, outdoor classroom, handwash facilities, and new aviary.

TOWNLEY COURT - Winter 2009:

Southern Green have been commissioned to carry out the landscape design to complement internal refurbishments to this sheltered housing scheme. Providing residents with a varied external environment, there will be opportunities for relaxation and exercise through the introduction of a circuitous pathway, raised beds for residents to grow herbs/vegetables and ornamental plants.

COMMERCIAL PREMISES IN SUNDERLAND - Winter 2009:

Southern Green have submitted a schematic design for a new office development near Sunderland City Centre. As part of the proposals we have worked closely with Napper Architects and project engineers to produce detailed designs for two intimate roof gardens, complete with secluded seating areas, contemporary naturalistic planting and automatic irrigation for minimal maintenance.

GISBOROUGH PRIORY - Winter 2009:

The picturesque Gisborough Priory is a sorely undervalued site, something which Southern Green working with d3 associates and their team aims to change by improving access, interpretation and extending the gardens, encouraging the visitor to explore the layers of history at this fascinating site.
